Roof windows are now an integral element in many new buildings. They open up new possibilities in modern architecture and interior decoration. Roof windows are also an essential part of converting old, previously uninviting lofts into functional and comfortable spaces.

FAKRO is the only roof window to have achieved the coveted BBA certificate. All our roof windows are made using wood from FSC approved forests. FTPV windows have been tested by Warrington Fire Research and achieve an SAA fire rating. All our roof windows are now manufactured using the company’s patented topSafe® anti-burglary reinforcement, at no additional cost. This provides the highest standard of safety and security currently available in standard products (minimum Class III – EN13049). FAKRO windows meet the standards set by the NHBC and FAKRO loft ladders have been tested to BS en 131: Part 2.

Loft Ladders.
FAKRO is also one of the world’s leading producers of loft ladders, with a range of products suitable for a wide range of applications. FAKRO loft ladders have been tested to BS EN 131: Part 2.

Solar Panels & Sun Light Pipes.
Solar panels are integrated with the roof by means of standard flashings, hence they perfectly merge into roof structure. SKW solar panels can be combined with FAKRO roof windows whereas SKC panels can be installed separately or joined in horizontal combinations.

The SLT light tunnel channels daylight through a dome mounted onto the roof. The sun’s rays are reflected off the walls of the flexible tube on to a light diffuser fitted on the internal ceiling. The diffuser spreads the light, evenly illuminating the whole interior of the room. The light tunnel may also be used at night by installing a light kit.
