For over 10 years Visul Systems have been manufacturing a complete range of high performance surface mounted tactile paving tiles and retrofit tactile surfaces.

Visul’s range of surface mounted tactile tiles out perform all other tactile surfaces in terms of durability and unlike other adhesive fixed systems, Visul’s products to not require heat when installed.

We work closely with sister company Universal Sealants (UK) Ltd, providing a ‘one stop shop’ solution for the manufacture, supply and installation of surface mounted tactile paving products with over 3,000 metres currently in use throughout the UK.

Blister Tactile Tiles.
Blister tactile surfaces provide a warning to visually impaired people of the absence of a kerb up stand and is installed around pedestrian crossings.

Corduroy Tactile Tiles & Self Adhesive Strips.
Corduroy tactile surfaces warn visually impaired people of ’hazard proceed with caution’ to steps, level crossings or the approach to street transit (LRT) platforms. It is also used where a foot path joins a shared route.

Railway Platform Offset Blister Tactile Surfaces.
Installed towards the edge of railway platforms. The blister pattern is offset and can be used to identify the direction the platform edge is running and the correct direction of travel to access a train. These should not be used for LRT street platform edges.

Visul also manufacture a methacrylate (MMA) tactile system that complies with the stringent requirements of Section 12 of the Fire Precautions Act, 1971, London Underground Limited Standards and Building Regulations (BS 476 parts 6 and 7).

Ribbed Tactile Tiles.
Ribbed tactile surfaces are used as a cycle track tactile warning . The surface is used wherever the shared route begins and ends or crosses a cycle way.
