ASYLUM Models & Effects was started 25 years ago and was housed in the old Royal Victoria Patriotic Asylum building in Trinity Road Wandsworth hence the name.
The company designs and makes models for the television and film industries. Recently the full time staff of 22 people and a large crew of trusted freelance specialists have moved to a new 22,000 sq ft workshop in Wimbledon most of which was purpose built to meet their requirements.
Model making produces a lot of dust so Staff needed to have reliable showering facilities.
These were built ontop of an existing reinforced concrete floor which proved problematic.
To enable the waste from the ladies and gents toilets plus additional shower room and two commercial wash down sinks a 70ft trench would have to be dug to the mains sewers. The Installers decided this would be too costly and chose to use Saniflo products at a third of the cost!
A Sanicubic pump was installed behind a wood wall to pump all waste to the existing drains.
The shower chosen was the Opus cubicle from Saniflo’s Kinedo range.
The Kinedo self-contained cubicles need no silicone in their easy and quick installation and are completely leak free thus affording proprietors total peace of mind.

Kinedo Freestyle goes to seaside holiday centre
Thornwick & Sea Farm, possibly one of the largest Parks on the East Coast that remains under the control of the original founding families that started back in 1963.
Flamborough and Flamborough Head have a fascinating history going way back to the Iron Age and before. Surrounded by sea on three sides and defended by a massive earth rampart to the other. Flamborough was always a special place - and it still is.
Over the past 10 years there has been extensive re-development in the site such as new roads, concrete pitches, parking bays, fishing lake, Country Park, touring area layout including a play area and internet sites. Recently it was decided to replace the existing showers and eleven Freestyle 2000 cubicles were installed.
The owners chose this self-contained shower cubicle from the Kinedo range of shower cubicles. This stylish cubicle needs no silicone to make it totally watertight and guaranteed not to leak. Easy, economical and quick to install, it has the additional benefit of CristalPlus anti limescale coating to the glass making for easy cleaning.
