Wandsworth is the oldest independent manufacturer of electrical accessories and call systems in the UK, and remains under private ownership. A truly British company, the majority of our products are made at our Woking headquarters, and sold throughout the world. Today, Wandsworth operates across a diverse range of markets from architectural wiring accessories to technology-led call systems.

Founded in Birmingham in 1904, Wandsworth’s traditional activities are the design and manufacture of superior metal-finished electrical wiring accessories, with a particular strength in the production of bespoke solutions for customers.

The company has built solid foundations on quality and innovation, and products have been specified in some of the world’s most prestigious buildings, notably: Palace of Westminster, Clarence House, Windsor Castle, Dorchester Hotel, Waldorf Hotel, and palaces for the royal families of Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar. The manufacture of accessories is still a major part of the business today.

Since diversifying into hospital call systems and pioneering the use of relay-based nurse call systems in the early 1950s, Wandsworth has been proactive in its development of technology for nurse call and entertainment systems. Today, Wandsworth remains at the forefront of hospital communications technology, and has grown to become a major service provider, offering design, supply, installation, commission and maintenance.
