Integrated Design Ltd (IDL) manufacture the Fastlane entrance control range. The Fastlane Entrance Control Range is designed to balance the aesthetic, security, ease of use, flow rates and wheelchair accessibility requirements demanded by today’s modern office environment. Fastlane Door Detective is designed to increase the level of security at any door that uses access control. The Door Detective creates an infra-red field across a doorway to monitor the passage of every individual passing through the door, only alerting the security staff to the presence of unauthorised entrants.
Fastlane Optical Turnstiles
Fastlane is a state of the art ’optical’ turnstile, which replaces the need for an obtrusive physical/mechanical barrier by utilising active infra-red beams to create an invisible electronic field between two pedestals. Fastlane automatically monitors the passage of every individual entering and leaving the facility, only alerting security staff to the presence of unauthorised entrants. Clients and employees alike pass through Fastlane’s channels with speed and safety while unauthorised entry attempts are identified.
Fastlane plus Barrier arm Optical Turnstiles
Fastlane plus is the very latest in high tech entrance control systems. The system uses state of the art optical tailgate technology to monitor the passage of every individual entering and leaving a facility and fast acting barrier arms to physically deter unauthorised access. The intelligence of Fastlane plus combined with the speed of activation of the barrier arms enables the system to have a minimal footprint thereby ensuring a discreet presence and minimal impact on the building design.
Fastlane Speedgates
Fastlane Speedgates are designed to ensure only one person gains access for each authorised card presented. Fastlane Speedgates use glass barriers in conjunction with state of the art optical tailgate detection technology to provide a high throughput security gate. The glass barriers are designed to work in a normally closed mode and swing or retract inside the pedestal after a valid card has been presented to allow the authorised user to pass.
Fastlane Classic Entrance Control
The Fastlane Classic Entrance Control range is made up of tripod turnstiles and passgates for disabled access. The architecturally inspired enclosures make minimal impact on the building design and have the flexibility of custom finished tops to help blend into the building fabric.
The Fastlane tripod turnstiles are based on a smooth reliable mechanism which is motorised. The mechanism is self-centring to make sure that the unit returns smoothly to its home position and the electronic braking system is designed to ensure the unit does not lock up on users and therefore maintains consistent high throughput rates.

Fastlane Glassgate 400 Secures Macedonian Plant

Fastlane® Glassgate 400 from Integrated Design Ltd (IDL) has been installed in Macedonia to secure the new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility of a large Global Corporation.
The British-owned company saw the full range of Fastlane® entrance control products being showcased by IDL at the IFSEC security exhibition in Birmingham, UK. The eye-catching product designs and the advanced intelligence of the Fastlane® infrared detection system made the range stand out from the competition.

This time the Glassgate 400 model was the ideal choice as the optical technology combined with the tall glass barriers offered the level of security and fast throughput that we required. Fastlane® Glassgate 400 uses glass barriers of up to 1.8m in height, in conjunction with state-of-the-art optical technology to provide a high throughput security gate. The bi-directional glass barriers are designed to work in a ‘normally closed’ mode and open after a valid card has been presented to allow the authorised user to pass. The barriers move away from the user in a familiar 'door-like' motion, which is intuitive to use, ensuring quick acceptance. In the event of other authorised users trying to use the lane the barrier will stay open, even if they are walking in the opposite direction. The barriers will close quickly behind the authorised person to deter tailgaters.
One standard-width and one wheelchair-compliant lane were installed in Macedonia by the client’s preferred local integrator Sectron Security & Communication Systems.

Integrated Design Limited (IDL) are extremely proud to have just celebrated their 25th year providing award winning security solutions worldwide.
Established in 1985, IDL has been designing and manufacturing solutions combining electronics and software. Since then the company has grown to be an influential force in the design of integrated systems and the manufacture of the market leading Fastlane Range, winning prestigious awards along the way, such as The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2009.
To celebrate all that hard work IDL arranged for a weekend away for staff and their families to Bristol, to see the sights, such as the Clifton Suspension Bridge or just relax at the hotel and country club. An evening’s entertainment was supplied with some of the staff even demonstrating their musical talents by performing live for the rest of the party.
