"Basta" was established almost 50 years ago and is located in the town of Tubbercurry in Co. Sligo, Ireland. In 1998, Worcester Parsons’ the largest British manufacturer and supplier of up-market brass hinges was acquired. In 2001, followed Latham; the manufacturer of the Conqueror high quality friction hinges and other PVCu window fittings. In September 2002, came the acquisition of Arthur Shaw the famous British manufacturer of stays and fasteners for timber windows.

In January 2006, we made our 4th acquisition with the purchase of Lister Locks Limited, based in Ipswich, England - a large distributor of builders hardware; including branded and own branded products. The acquisition of these companies have enabled Basta Parsons to grow sales across the range, and offer a more comprehensive portfolio. It is also part of its strategic plan to further develop the company. In 2009 we merged our two UK premises and now both Basta and Listers operate out of Wolverhampton.

Worcester Parsons.
WP hinges are manufactured in brass and aluminium. A brand name long associated with top quality brass hinges. The Worcester Parsons brand is synonymous with high quality British Brass Hinges.

Worcester Parsons hinges are available in both US or ANSI drill patterns. Brass Hinges come in a range of finishes including: Self Colour; Satin Chrome Plate; Polished Brass; and Polished Chrome Plate and 3 New Finishes: Polished Nickel, Satin Nickel and Bronze/Antique. Worcester Parsons also supply Butt Hinges, Projection Hinges, Ball Finial Hinges, Special Application Hinges, Rising, Falling & Lift-off Hinges.

Smith Wallis.
Smith Wallis fittings offer performance, durability and style for all types of steel and aluminium windows. The range includes a comprehensive selection of casement handles and stays, hinges, pivots, catches, window bolts and accessories.

Smith Wallis Steel Window Furniture.
Smith Wallis Casement Handles are manufactured in brass and zinc to an exceptionally high standard. Designed primarily for steel windows they are available in Satin, Chrome Plate and RTD - an artificial bronze finish. Handles are available as either locking or non locking.

Smith Wallis Casement Stays and Sliding Stays for steel windows are available in various designs and sizes. Finishes include Satin Chrome and RTD - an artificial bronze finish are supplied as standard finishes.

The Smith Wallis range also offers a unique selection of accessories which includes Friction Stays, Pivots, Hinges, Folding Openers, Duplex Handles, Window Bolts and Catches.

Conqueror PVCu Window & Door Fittings.
The Conqueror range is one of the leading selling ranges in Britain and Ireland. The entire range incorporates features that make them very popular and readily identifiable with distributors and fabricators. The Conqueror range of PVCu products includes a variety of distinctive high quality handles to suit PVCu doors and Windows. Basta is pleased to offer a 10 years mechanical guarantee on all handles.

Conqueror Composite Door Fittings.
The Conqueror Range also includes a range of Composite Door Hinges, 2D and 3D Flag Hinges. All of Conqueror hinges achieve Grade 4 corrosion resistance under BS EN 1670:1998

2D Flag Hinge.
Our 2D Flag Hinge combines an attractive slimline appearance with high level of adjustability. Choice of colours are available. With lateral adjustments of + / -5mm and compression adjustments of 1.5mm available. 2D Flag Hinges have been successfully tested to PAS 023/024 at BSI. We also introduce the 3D Slimline Flag Hinge which has a 16mm frame.

Window Espagnolettes.
Espagnolettes and keeps are used for securing a window when closed. They also provide a weather seal. Conqueror Espagnolettes are available in Offset and Eurogroove, with either a Rolling Mushroom or Solid Cam.

Shooting Bolts.
Shooting Bolts give maximum security to window systems by providing strong durable locking points in the three most vulnerable areas of the window.
