Automatic Doors are our speciality at Axis Automatic Entrance Systems . Axis is the sole UK distributor of Stanley automatic door equipment . This includes the Dura-Glide range of sliding doors and telescoping doors, Magic Force and Magic Access swing doors as well as other specialist applications. We offer a full supply installation and commissioning service complete with aluminium entrances, facades and curtain walling where required. We employ a variety of safety and activation sensors from Hotron, BEA and Optex.

A full range of access control products is also available for either security or DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) requirements, including Keylex digital mechanical locks, Bewator keypads, Paxton proximity readers and swipe cards. We are distributors and approved installers for FAAC car park barriers and Ozak Turnstiles. Our full portfolio also includes the supply and installation of roller shutters and steel doors. Architectural Ironmongery includes LCN door closers and Von Duprin escape hardware for emergency exits.

The Automatic Door Suppliers Association (ADSA) has a code of practice that includes adherence to BS 7036 and Axis Automatic Entrance Systems are active members.

Automatic Doors

The Stanley range of Automatic Doors includes Dura-Glide Sliding or Telescoping Doors plus Swing Doors, Bi-folding Doors and Bypass Doors - so the correct solution can be specified for any installation. Perhaps most critical of all, the installation should be undertaken by an installer accredited to BS 7036:1996 (Safety at powered doors for pedestrian use) and then maintained to that standard thereafter. This code of practice covers not just the aspects of safety during the opening and closing cycle but also during the installation of the door. It also defines the maximum forces needed to operate the doors manually or breakout during an emergency. It even covers items like signage and the need for an annual inspection. All Axis installations are in accordance with BS7036:1996 and are carried out by our trained BS7036 accredited engineers.


Curtain Walling and Aluminium Shopfront Systems

The Axis Curtain Wall system is an economic and aesthetically pleasing solution to façade cladding. The system is suitable for use on all buildings where good thermal and weather performance is required and is suitable for low rise applications up to 20m tall. The Shopfront system has profiles to suit both flush glazed and bead glazed applications, or a mix of the two. The Glazing Bar system has been designed for both the commercial and domestic markets, and conforms to BS5516 (British Standard Code of Practice for patent glazing). The system can be used with all popular fills including 6mm glass, multi-wall polycarbonate sheet, and double glazed units.

Turnstiles

Axis are UK distributors for Ozak Turnstiles. The range includes a wide choice of full height or waist (half) height turnstiles plus passage gates, speed gates and security cylinders. Single or double versions are available and in a choice of aesthetic styles to suit any environment. Arms can be motorised or pushed manually. Most are suitable for either interior or exterior use. Turnstile operation can be controlled remotely or by coin, ticket, token or photo cell. Ozak have been manufacturing turnstiles and gates since 1974.

Access Control

Axis also supply a wide range of access control products including keypads, proximity sensors, door entry kits, ID cards and access tokens.

Disabled people are deemed to need an automatic door to access retail outlets, offices, schools, hospitals, etc. but, when it comes to toilets they are usually expected to be able to open the door unaided. The Disabled Persons Toilet System enables existing disabled toilet doors to be automated for full or low energy automatic control
