HARD YORK QUARRIES
The stone extracted from the largest of our four quarries Bolton Woods, is a very fine-grained durable, hard Yorkstone. The durability of fine-grained Yorkshire stone is legendary which explains its common use in City centre paving projects.
The blocks of stone are taken off their natural beds and split into manageable sizes ready to be made into paving, kerbs, steps, sills, lintels and walling material. The stone is also suitable for cladding, rockeries and roadstone. With our combination of modern saws and traditional masonry techniques any conceivable product can be produced from one of the finest Yorkshire stones available.
