(1) Playscapes:
Yorkstone towers are challenging but natural. These climbing features will be able to withstand high levels of use over many years whilst remaining virtually maintenance free. This project also incorporated the use of Gravelsafe®, the natural roundness of this product works like a liquid when faced with the impact of an object, allowing the pebbles to roll against each other to create an impact-absorbing surface which conforms to BS EN 1176.

(2) Public Gardens:
The well known garden is full of interesting uses of stone. The broadwalk has large and beautiful rocks, selected to represent the principal geological periods and all the regions of Wales. The gravels, pebbles and chippings are all Welsh. A long rill runs down the broadwalk to a pebble mosaic in the shape of.. The entrance pavilion and several other areas make excellent use of porphyry cubes, there is now pink-grey granite for the steps and riser by the lake. Elsewhere much paving in granite has been designed flags and grey granite cladding, but used as flags. The most recent walled garden exhibits plants in a botanical order, the paths and paving form the hierarchical structure to support the order. The resulting design in granite in tapered pieces, porphyry setts in swirling lines and green slate with red sandstone are original and exciting uses of our materials.

(3) Bespoke Items:
Acton Square has been completely rejuvenated by this well thought out scheme. Large element size, flamed blue grey granite paving, covers most of this undulating area, cleverly broken up by narrow bands of specially cut and individually shaped black basalt setts. The central feature comprises of 2 multi section polished and flamed granite benches, their angular shaped design adding a special finishing touch to the overall look of the finished project.

(4) Monuments:
The monument (actually well over 8 metres - 24 foot – high) now stands proudly in Kesgrave, Ipswich and an enormous amount of credit should be afforded to the skill of the French masons who were able to reproduce the Granite sections of flawlessly and in a very short period of time. We were given a series of drawings which proved to be just a little more complex than “simple standing stones with dished indents at the top”. The indents alone were extremely complicated cut-outs called “conics”. These had to be mathematically correct to form a PARABOLA, a CIRCLE and a RECTANGULAR HYPERBOLA.

(5) Town Centres:
This busy town centre location has been transformed with the vibrant colours and textures of the granites used - The body of the job is made up of 3000m² of Tarim red granite paving mixed with violet shades of porphyry setts, complimented by blue grey tiles and beige paving. Special features include 3 piece polished benches, curved to special details and large dark grey spheres.
