BIOLOGICAL SEPTIC TANKS & SEWAGE TREATMENT
Our septic tanks treat domestic wastewater using the 100% biological SBR (sequencing batch reactor) technology, an eco friendly alternative to many systems in the marketplace. During the treatment phases, the waste water is mixed with enriched activated sludge and aerated. The sewage acts as a source of nutrients to the micro-organisms, and the water is therefore cleaned naturally. Biological septic tanks are the most economical to operate. Our range are pre packaged systems that are quick and easy to install.

We are the UK & Ireland distributor of Kessel’s grease separator and backwater valves. Fernco Environmental is now able to actively take the risk out of concrete waterproofing after becoming the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for a range of advanced concrete waterproofing system from Kryton.
Kryton protects concrete permanently - its revolutionary self-sealing technology transforms concrete into a waterproof barrier. There is a range of Kryton concrete waterproofing systems suited for new build construction and joint waterproofing, and also for concrete crack repair and concrete renovation. It is calculated that use of these can shave weeks off construction schedules and cut waterproofing costs by up to 40% compared with other waterproofing systems on the market. It also eliminates leaks, discoloration and costly callbacks.

TRANSFER OF PRIVATE SEWERS
August 2011
The Transfer of Private Sewers will take place on October 1st 2011, when ownership and responsibility of private sewers in England and Wales will be transferred from the property owner, to the regulated sewerage companies.
Everybody in the England & Wales is receiving a letter from their water company, which explains the change of ownership of the drainage infrastructure around our houses. It’s all happening in October, when many thousands of kilometres of pipe will become the responsibility of water companies, and they are then obliged to bring it all up to a minimum standard. Anyone into drainage infrastructure maintenance and repair is in the spotlight.
