VMZINC’s range includes solid zinc roofing, cladding, facade and zinc rainscreen systems in a variety of colours, to meet the most complex design requirements. It also supplies a range of rainwater goods as well as decorative roofing items such as weather vanes and finials which can be made to individual specification.
Due to the use of unique manufacturing techniques, products can be supplied with a pre-weathered appearance which provides a self-protecting patina and continues to age in the normal manner. Being a natural product, it provides a ’living skin’ which requires very little maintenance. Zinc is 100% recyclable and in Western Europe, more than 90% of zinc used in construction is currently being recycled.
VMZINC’s service is based on the maintenance of detailed technical support to architects, main contractors and roofers throughout their projects, to ensure that products’ life cycle routinely exceeds 40 years.
Zinc standing seam roofing solutions can accommodate straight and curved designs of significant complexity, thus providing great scope for design creativity. VMZINC Standing seam is suitable for roofs with a pitch above 3 degree, and available in standard widths of 430mm,530 mm and 600mm, though non-standard widths can also be produced between 60 and 600 mm. VMZINC PLUS is a standing seam system for warm roofs which can be installed on mineral wool or PIR insulation without ventilating the underside. More traditional vented cold roof build ups can also be used with VMZINC roofs.
Zinc fully supported and Rainscreen façade Systems
Standing seam, flat lock, overlapping, interlocking and Mozaik cassette zinc facade systems are available for both vertical and horizontal application in a wide variety of aspects. The extensive range of systems and finishes offer designers a very wide pallet of visual aesthetics for all building types, new and old.
A comprehensive range of zinc rainwater goods, designed for houses and conservatories, is available in pre-weathered QUARTZ-ZINC and ANTHRA-ZINC. Delivered in kit form, it uses concealed brackets, stop ends, corners, running outlets, zinc downpipes and self-locking pipe brackets. Available in half round, box and OG profiles.
Heritage Refurbishment and Restoration
Zinc is a lightweight and safe alternative to lead and ages in a similar manner. As a result, VMZINC is routinely involved in specifications for roofing restoration projects throughout Europe. In the UK it has supplied material for a number of listed properties.

With this 20th edition, we hope to provide a source of inspiration to all who are interested in architecture. The featured projects were selected in India, Spain, France, UK, Italy, Australia, Denmark, Norway, Austria, China, Switzerland, Belgium, United States, Turkey.
You will discover 20 outstanding projects involving the use of zinc, each with a colourful picture, a succinct description detailing its specific type of zinc application and providing technical specifications as well as information regarding the architect. Private dwellings, apartment buildings and terraced housing complexes, a medical centre, a ferry terminal, a renovated company building, a leisure centre, a station building. Each project features an original application of durable, sustainable, versatile zinc.
Focus on Zinc #20 was issued in an edition of 23.000 copies in English and in French and distributed in some 30 countries.
