MADE-TO-MEASURE
Sinks, worktops, cabinets, shelving and panels - made in any shape, size or configuration. Worktops are made without joins, to maximise use of available space, providing design freedom as well as total hygiene. EDGES are formed integrally with choice of lipped or square profiles with or without upstands. SINK BOWLS are seamlessly integrated with wide choice of sizes and configurations. CUT-OUTS eg. for appliances, tapholes etc. are made exactly where required. Stainless steel base, wall and drawer cabinets are also available as are panels, splashbacks and shelving.

New Tudor Hall Teaching Building Utilises GEC ANDERSON Technology
The creation of an ultra-modern Teaching Building as a new core to a long established school in Oxfordshire, has included the installation of custom designed and manufactured stainless steel sinks, worktops and splashbacks and other units from GEC Anderson for several of the different technical spaces.
The Tudor Hall School, originally founded in 1850 by the Rev TW and Mrs Todd at a site in Salisbury, has been at its present location at Wykham Park in Banbury since World War II, while the past decade has seen some £15 million invested in ensuring the Independent Girls Boarding and Day School offers the best possible facilities.
The Birmingham office of ADP Architects has been responsible for the design work on this latest project, while Clegg Construction Ltd of Nottingham was the main contractor carrying out the work. Acting as a specialist sub-contractor, GEC Anderson conducted site visits and liaised with the project team in order to ensure its custom fabrications met the schools health & safety as well as technical and teaching requirements.
GEC Anderson also worked closely with Tudor Hall Bursar, Neil Farquhar to ensure its site installation visits in no way interfered with the academic activities as lessons continued throughout normal term time.
One of the architects involved with the project from early on commented “The GEC Anderson sinks, work-surfaces and other fabrications were specified for the Food Technology Area as well as units for the Ceramics and Textiles rooms. The new centre opened on schedule last Easter in time for the start of the 2018 summer term and everyone involved has been pleased with the results.”

GEC Anderson - The Bartlett School Of Arcitecture
GEC Anderson purpose-made stainless steel worktops with integral sinks and wet zones.
The Bartlett School of Architecture has been located in Wates House since 1975 and is consistently ranked among the top architecture schools worldwide. The building was originally designed to accommodate a faculty of 90 staff and 380 students. Since then The Bartlett, UCLs Faculty of the Built Environment has grown considerably and currently the school now has around 1,000 students and 134 staff.
In 2012, UCL Estates and The Bartlett embarked on a project to undertake a refurbishment and extension of Wates House to ensure that the School of Architecture continues to provide excellence in teaching and research.

The refurbishment, designed by leading architects HawkinsBrown, doubles the space available in a modern, light-filled building built on the structural concrete frame of its predecessor. It provides students with the flexibility to work and learn as well as offering more studio and breakout space to encourage collaboration amongst students and staff.
There are also social and cafe areas throughout the building where the students and staff can relax. Architects, HawkinsBrown, specified a total of thirteen GEC Anderson stainless steel worktops, of varying sizes and configurations, on six levels of the building. A central feature to these social and cafe areas are GEC Anderson purpose-made stainless steel worktops with integral sinks and wet zones. Set within, neutral, birch ply cabinetry, the brushed satin stainless steel worktops provide a practical, attractive and highly durable sink / worktop solution. Stainless steel splashbacks were also included.
The main contract was carried out by Gilbert Ash with M & E provided by Vaughan Engineering Services. Edge profiles, sink sizes, taphole requirements and drainer details were precisely specified by the Architects. GEC Anderson were required to liaise with site for final dimensions, to enable production of the made to measure stainless steel worktops within the required timescale and to the prescribed specification.
