Component Developments was approached by Liquatek No 1 Poultry to Supply Drainage
April 2018

No. 1 Poultry is an office and retail building in London, which still to this day is considered one of the greatest masterpieces of the postmodernist style in London.
Component Developments was approached by Liquatek to design, manufacture and supply the stainless steel slot drains for the rooftop terrace refurbishment.
Component Developments used their 3608 asymmetrical slot drain profile to design the ideal drainage solution. This slot drain included a 15mm drainage aperture which would be the only visible part of the drain from finished floor level providing a discrete yet effective system. Component Developments manufactured this drain with a constant depth of 155mm to meet site depth restrictions.
Each drainage run was supplied with 2 outlet boxes to help prevent blockages and allow easy maintenance and rodding.
The drains were supplied in 6,000mm lengths with bolted gasket flanged joints ensuring they were suitable for contractors to carry manually and easy to install on site.
Developing a strong working relationship with Liquatek through constant communication and sending Component Development representatives to site to discuss requirements and meet the team we were liaising with ensured the correct solution was supplied, the first time round.
